Applications

These tools grew out of my courses and my research in computer science education. They are freely available to teachers and their students, and their source code is published on GitLab or GitHub. Their interfaces are in French.

Databases and SQL

QueryCraft

Run an SQL query step by step to see how each clause transforms the data, with schema display, query history, exercises and generative AI help. Developed with L. Monceaux and presented at Didapro 11 (Grenoble, March 2026). For high school students, undergraduates and their teachers.

MoDIA

Data modelling with AI: from a plain-language description, generate the Merise diagrams, SQL scripts (PostgreSQL) and exercise contexts for a teaching database. For database teachers.

Source code

SQLSandbox

Try SQL queries, including updates, on small sample databases (including MONDIAL). Each session works on its own copy, so the original database always stays intact. For SQL beginners. PHP and SQLite, GPL v3 licence.

ASQL (ApprendreSQL)

Web application for learning SQL.

Generative AI

ProxyIAg

Give students controlled access to public generative AI services (Albert, ILaaS, RAGaRenn…) without handing out the real API keys: one key per student, daily quotas, load balancing across providers and a usage dashboard. Works with any OpenAI-compatible client and runs on a Raspberry Pi. Python, MIT licence.

Source code

RapidChat

A chatbot for lab sessions on generative AI: sliders change the temperature, top-p and top-k so students can observe their effect on the answers. Gradio interface, runs locally or on Hugging Face Spaces.

Algorithms and modelling

InitAlgo

An introduction to algorithms through flowcharts: a graphical editor with 9 drag-and-drop block types and step-by-step execution. For beginners.

pyPeNet

Build and simulate Petri nets for teaching. Python.

Source code

PUMLEditor

A two-panel PlantUML editor: the code on the left, the diagram updated live on the right. Python/PyQt6 desktop application (light or dark theme, zoom, PNG and SVG export, printing). Handy for teaching UML modelling.

Primary school

Times tables

Practise addition and multiplication tables from 1 to 9: the child picks the operation and the number of questions, answers, then gets the corrections and a score. PHP, no database, GPL v3 licence.
